My biggest issue is not once did anyone say they were sorry for the inconvenience or offer a free Coke, etc. As the line began to grow of people wanting to check-in we finally were able to and then took our luggage all the way back across the casino to the original 'tower' where we entered to our room (the room was nice). Yes, all three of those reason given at one time. We were then told we were too early to check-in, they had been short staffed since COVID and the system was down. After some more questions along the way we finally found check-in in the 'other tower' which was all the more confusing because this other check-in desk is in a tower of a different named hotel (all under the same roof).
